'BRAVE' Faction Carnival

To celebrate Perth Pride Month 2023, Team Perth are hosting the 'BRAVE' Summer Faction Carnival, an exciting 4th year running for the Perth LGBTIQ+ community.  The Faction Carnival will be open to anyone who would like to participate or watch and support their friends and family. We have a strickt participation limit this year of 150, so be sure to get your tickets fast!

Held at UWA’s Riley Oval on Saturday 18th November.

• Meeting at 10:30am in your factions.
• Official kick off at 11:00am with opening of the carnival & then games begin.
• Event concludes at 2:00pm 

So what is in store for the day you ask?

• Everyon will be given the opportunity to play some of their childhood favourite games, such as leaderball and tunnelball as well as some classic running and relay races.
• No experience or athletic abilities are required with some less physical events such as the paper plane competition and a corn hole tournament running throughout the day.
• You do not need to participate in all acivities based on your own skill, ability or comfort - it is totall up to you. If you require assistance please let us know how we can support you. 

The Faction Carnival has been organised to encourage everyone to meet new people in a fun and relaxing environment while having a run around with plenty of laughs.

What to expect:

- Registration is open, please fill out all the questions as best you can. GET YOUR TICKETS ( only $10.00 + booking fee).

- Accessibility: UWA is an accessible campus. The event is held on Riley Oval (grass). We encourage everyone to participate in activies they are comfortable with.The event will have bright colours and loud noises (like a sporting event) however we would love to hear from you if you have accessible needs. Please indicate your needs on the registration or get in contact with us so we can do our best to help you. 

- Closing date for registration is Midnight Saturday 11th November 2023. Anyone registering after this point will have less time to organise their Faction Colours.

- You will be notified of your "faction" (also known as "house") on Monday 13th November. This will provide you with a colour, please wear this colour on Saturday 18th November as an identifier for your team.

- Your team will have an assigned Team Captain who will try to set up a 'group chat' through whatsapp so be sure to get the app (if you do not have it) so you can get invovled in the event.

- Come Dressed in your faction colours with the theme 'BRAVE' for all factions on Saturday 18th November...
